  2. Two-factor authentication (2FA)

Sign-in error: "The email address and/or password used for authentication are invalid"

There are two reasons you might get this error.

  • You have an MYOB two-factor authentication (2FA) account, but you forgot your password or used the wrong one – for example, your 2FA password might be different from your MYOB Acumatica user profile password.
  • You normally use the green Sign in button, but you tried the purple Secure Authentication button. This means you probably don't have a 2FA account.Sign in using the green button

Fixing the error

  1. Click Forgotten your password?.

  2. Enter your email address and click Continue.
    Enter your email address and click continue
  3. Check your email inbox for password reset instructions.
  4. If you receive an email, follow the instructions in the email to reset your password. 
  5. If you don't receive an email (and it's not in your junk inbox), it means no 2FA account exists for that email address. See our instructions for signing up for a new MYOB 2FA account.
