AWE Inspector missing first pay run for employee

The first partial pay run for the employee is not being considered in the AWE inspection when processing a Termination payment

Country: New Zealand

Date: 3 Jul 2025

Status: Awaiting bug fix

Reference: CE00059155

Issue

When processing a termination for an employee who has worked less than a year, the first partial pay run for the employee is not being considered in the AWE inspection.

This is caused by the first partial pay run to have the same pay ending date as the employee's start date.

Example:

Employees Start Date: 5/8/2025

PAY-001: Pay period dates: 30/7/2024 - 5/8/2024
PAY-002: Pay period dates: 6/9/2024 - 12/8/2024

PAY-001 is not being considered in the AWE inspector as the period ending date is the same as the employees start date. The earliest pay run being considered for the employee is PAY-002

Workaround

The Override function will need to be used to pay the correct rate
