Email Fails to Send: “Illegal Characters in Path”
If you encounter the error “Illegal characters in path” when sending an email from Acumatica, follow the steps below
1. Check Image File Names

Ensure any images used in the email or template have a valid file extension (e.g.
.jpg,.png,.gif) -
If an image is missing an extension, save it with a valid file name and reinsert it into the email
2. Check Attachment Permissions

Go to File Maintenance

Locate the attached file or image

Ensure the file is marked as Public
-
Save and try sending the email again
3. Remove Linked Images
-
If the email contains images with embedded links, remove them
-
Reinsert the image without any links and resend the email
