Error when trying to import Employee Work Schedules - 'We're sorry! An error has occured while processing your request'
Overview
When importing Employee Work Schedules using Employee Work Schedule Import (MPPP2261), you may encounter the following generic error message:
"We're sorry! An error has occurred while processing your request. A request has been generated for our technical staff to investigate the problem. Please try to repeat your request later. Thank you for understanding."
What to do if you receive this error
If this happens all of the time/for all records, please use the Test Connection option in the Payroll Preferences screen (MPPP1100) Workforce Management tab, and reset if necessary
When to raise with Support
Please raise a case with support, referencing ADV-71395 if any of the following apply:
- Connection tested fine the whole time
- Problem keeps happening after connection was tested.
- Problem only happens to some records, not all records.
- Viewing the Trace Log for the error shows the below error:
- "Value cannot be null.
- Parameter name: _cliendId"
