Issue

Onboarding emails for portal users contain non-functional hyperlinks after upgrading to 2025.1, despite the emails sending successfully. The problem occurs when portal users are created via both the Contacts and Users screens, while standard user MFA onboarding emails continue to generate working links correctly.

 

Workaround

When creating new portal users either:

  • Set the password manually, communicate the password to the new user directly via some medium.

  • After creating user, immediately send them a password reset request and let them know to set it within 24 hours.

  • Inform user to use the forgot password option to set a new password.
