This sync error appears in MYOB Acumatica — Workforce Management, either on the Employment Status screen, or on the Employee Sync Issues Report. While it can be caused by an incorrect IRD number, it's normally because of a duplicate employee record, often accientally created when rehiring seasonal employees.
To fix a duplicate employee record you need to delete or terminate the new record, and rehire them following the correct procedure.
- Go to the Employees screen and confirm that it's a duplicate employee record.
To easily compare the records, click Show/hide columns and select the IRD column. - Open the new employee record, go to the Employment Status menu, and terminate or delete the record.
Deleting the record is the tidier option, but be careful as it is not reversible. - Follow the Rehiring terminated employees process to rehire the employee without causing a sync error.
