XSLT deprecation and MYOB Acumatica
The deprecation of XSLT in Chrome and other browsers means you need to update MYOB Acumatica soon
Google is planning to deprecate Chrome's support for XSLT from 17 November 2026, and other major web browsers are expected to follow suit soon after.
MYOB Acumatica relies heavily on XSLT to display tables and other elements, so we're getting an update to fix this issue ready. Don't worry — we'll be making upgrade slots available for all sites to get the update before the deadline, and there are workarounds available as well.
For (a great deal) more information on what XSLT is, why it's being deprecated, and Google's timeframe, see their page Removing XSLT for a more secure browser.
What do I need to do?
Right now? Nothing.
MYOB, or your MYOB business partner, will get in touch with you to schedule the update when it's available.
What workarounds are available?
While they shouldn't be neeeded, there are two workarounds that can buy you some time if you can't get the update by November 17.
- Use another browser — For now, only Google Chrome (and other Chromium-based browsers such as Microsoft Edge) have announced a timeline for removing XSLT support. Firefox and Apple's Safari are common browsers that aren't Chromium-based.
- Use a Chrome extension — Google have linked to the XSLT Polyfill extension, which adds XSLT functionality back in to Chrome.
