Your transition to Modern UI
Start planning for your transition to Modern UI now.
Modern UI is a major update of the MYOB Acumatica platform that makes it quicker and easier to use, and lets us deliver powerful new features. It is available now for sites on version 2025R2 and later, and will become the only option with version 2026R2, when the classic UI will no longer be available.
The transition to Modern UI may need a significant amount of testing, especially for sites that have a lot of customisations. You’ll need to work closely with your MYOB Acumatica partner (or the MYOB services team for direct customers) to make sure that you’re ready before the classic UI is turned off with 2026R2.
What is the Modern UI? What’s changing?
The Modern UI is a rebuild of all of the screens in MYOB Acumatica using modern technology. In practice, this means:
- An improved look and feel that makes it easy to find the information you need
- Snappier performance
- More ways to personlise screens to fit your business needs
- Powerful new features made possible, such as a rebuilt customer portal and a new project status view
Don’t worry. For most users, the Modern UI will basically be the same experience they’re used to, just faster and nicer looking.
When is it coming?
Exactly when you switch Modern UI will depend on your site, so talk to your MYOB Acumatica partner about what that looks like for you. However, there are a few important dates to be aware of:
- Now — The Modern UI is available right now, for sites on version 2025R2.
- October 2026 to February 2027 — Upgrades to 2026R1 are happening in this window, and the process of transitioning to the Modern UI begins.
- May to July 2027 — This is the upgrade window for 2026R2. Modern UI should be fully tested and switched on.
What do I have to do?
Transitioning to Modern UI is a separate process from your usual version upgrades, although some of the testing you’ll need to do is similar.
The amount of work required will be very different for different sites. It mainly depends on the number of customisations you have on your site, as they will each need to be rebuilt to work with the modern UI and then tested.
Right now, you need to:
- Start talking to your partner, if they’re not already talking to you
- Think about the customisations you use
- Be aware that it’s coming, and that extra testing will be needed
