Applying a negative discount on Opportunities and Sales Quotes(CR304000) is not permitted with error message: “The value must be greater than or equal to zero.”

Issue 

On the Opportunities (CR304000) form, if a user edited an opportunity and updated the quantity or price for a stock item with an active negative discount, which was used as a markup, the system cleared the quantity or price when the record was saved. The issue occurred because the Discount, % column in the opportunity line did not allow negative values. As a result, users could not apply negative discounts in CRM documents, such as opportunities and sales quotes. The issue did not occur in earlier versions (for example, 2024 R2) or in sales orders, where negative discounts were supported.
