Deleting a WIP transaction or its linked invoice may not fully clear the Retained flag

Issue

Deleting a WIP transaction or its linked invoice may not fully clear the Retained flag and other modification values on the PMTran.  As a result, outdated values can be carried into future processing, for example 

  • The Company Write Off/On value may be retained, causing incorrect values to be used in the next WIP Allocation.
  • Existing modification values, such as Carry Forward, Write Off, or other adjustments, may not be fully cleared before the transaction is reprocessed.
  • After the linked AR document is deleted, the Retained flag and other PMTran values may remain incorrect, leading to unexpected allocation results

     

Workaround

1. From the WIP Allocation screen, open View Transactions and use Delete Selected Transaction to delete the transaction.

2. If the WIP has retained modifications and the invoice also needs to be deleted, please delete the WIP from the WIP Allocation screen rather than deleting it from the invoice screen.
